Mum of six (Stella Ameinova) has created a contemporary children’s fashion brand using her keen eye for trend, colour and style. Gender equality is a hot topic right now and this diverse and active collection fits in with the modern times. Stella’s experience as a mother has helped her combine practicality and functionality but still fitting in high end style status.

YES! We are huge fans of London based artist Rob Lowe AKA Supermundane. Known for his bold, hyper-colourful geometric artworks that play with line, type and composition, Supermundane produces exciting and eye-catching designs that have been used all over the world. From magazines to murals to shop fronts to rugs, he covers them all in his fun designs. Be sure to catch his latest installation in Exchange Square in Broadgate, London.

Over the weekend we took a trip to Brighton to visit BIF ( Brighton Illustration Fair ) It was a great chance to see the best of Brighton's local artists and designers. Fun workshops to get involved in and exciting prints and design goodies to spend the pocket money!
If you didn't get a chance to see any of the London Design Festival, then you need to get it in your diary for next year!
With events all over London there was so much to see. We headed down to the V&A, Villa Walala and Joy and Peace by Morag Myerscough and Luke Morgan.
The Ceramics Galleries at the V&A were a highlight, with 'Metropolis' by Lubna Chowdhary who is the Ceramics Resident.
Villa Walala was great fun. As you may be able to tell on this blog we are big fans of Camille Walala and always love seeing her designs.
Joy and Peace is a bright and playful installation in 2 parts, it brings a splash of colour to the city.

Kid + Kind always bring the playful quality to fashion. This fun, gender neutral brand uses lovely mark making techniques from stamped shapes to line drawings printed on 100% organic cotton. Their fresh colour combos mixed with their simple prints create unique items for kids who like to play!

Here at Lemon Ribbon we LOVE children's books and this week we're featuring the awesome Owl & Dog Playbooks. An independent book publishers, who create beautiful and playful books for children.
All their books are interactive, with stories, riddles and facts. Some turn into fun masks, others create fish to play with and one makes a clumsy monster! Such awesome ideas, we can't wait to see what will come next.

A souvenir shop with a difference in the heart of London, on Carnaby Street. They are revolutionising London souvenirs and creating a platform for local creatives to reach a wider audience.

Using a vibrant primary colour trend and merging a mash up of modern music and jungle prints, this playful collection definitely stands out from the crowd.

This week we love children's clothing brand Tiny Cottons.
Their AW collection is bold and simple but so fun. They are leading the way with quirky shape play and clever type with lots of humour thrown in for good measure.
We only wish they made them in our size too!

This week we can't get enough of Jean Julien's illustrations! You're bound to have seen his work out and about, he has worked with everyone from Eurostar to Uniqlo.
His illustrations are a humorous take on modern living, often looking at social media and the way we interact with each other.
Check out his book 'This is Not a Book' published by Phaidon and his collaboration with Les manufactures d'lnopia.
Don't forget to check out his instagram account too, for funny observations of the everyday.
This week we can't get enough of Camille Walala! If you've been out and about in London recently you can't have missed her colourful work gracing our streets!
We love the bold, bright colours and geometric play. No surface is safe from from the Walala magic touch!
We love children's books! They are such a great source of inspiration and always full of beautiful illustrations from crazy talented illustrators. So this week we are featuring two of our favourites!
First off, we have 'City Atlas' illustrated by Martin Haake and written by Georgia Cherry.
This book is chock-a-block with amazing imagery ranging from pizza eating crocodiles to a skateboarding Henry VIII. Get lost in every city around the world just by turning the page.
And secondly 'Rapido' by Joelle Jolivet and Jean-Luc Fromental.This Interactive book takes you on a journey around the city with a delivery man and his van. We love the bold and graphic style throughout and you can even see what is going on behind closed doors, for all you nosey neighbours out there!
Back at the beginning of July we visited Playtime Paris, which is a great trade show full of amazing kids and baby brands. Here are a few of our favourites...
Bravelings started life as a tights company for boys and have since grown to cover girls and other accessories too. We particularly loved their new range of girls tights with quirky, playful designs.
Amsterdam-based Donsje (Dutch for "fluffy") had the most gorgeous collection of children's shoes and accessories. Our favourites were their little lion booties and matching purse. They also won the Milk magazine X Playtime award for shoes - great work guys!
And last but not least, our absolute favourites Hugo loves Tiki who are so on trend with their gorgeous fruit print. Bold and simple, their prints work for girls and boys of all ages.
This week we love Nor-Folk, a new and exciting lifestyle brand out of Norwich. Their minimalist kidswear designs are spot on for the upcoming AW trend.
The simplicity of their graphics work alongside the new rise in gender neutral apparel.
