Hearts often feature across celebration and stationery products, but they can be tricky to adapt to fashion. Too bold and red means they will skew towards adult sleepwear, too soft and sketchy instantly shouts Valentines. With our experience of designing across all product categories, we are good at finding the balance and this is a perfect example of that. The simple checkerboard repeat instantly aims it to kids age groups, whilst the alternating colour palette adds a modern, Autumnal/Fall feel to a product.
We adore the way the client used the repeat across both baby and toddler girlswear and accentuated it with the pastel pink zips and cuffs. With all our patterns set up as swatches, you too can easily adjust colours and repeat size or let us do that for you.
