Dinosaurs are a consistent theme for boys, but it’s often tricky to create designs that work for baby age groups. Too illustrated and accurate means the characters often look scary, whilst too simplified can feel slightly twee. In this case, by creating designs in watercolour, still allow the details to shine, but gives a softer, luxurious feel, ideal for sweet babywear ranges.
We love the way the client has tweaked the scale to really feature each different dinosaur. Also the use of the olive green for the binding and cuffs really accentuates the allover. We can help with colour suggestions, but as all of our designs feature separated colour palettes, you can not only quickly extract the colours used but also easily change the palette if needed.
